James GordonOver the last 30 years, mind-body medicine has helped to revolutionize the way we think about psychotherapy and deliver healthcare. In fact, various forms of mind-body healthcare have already been successfully integrated into therapy. This workshop will give you an enlivening experience of the mind-body skills group model and of a number of the techniques of self-regulation, self-expression, and self-care that can be integrated into it. You’ll explore:

  • The effectiveness of mind-body approaches in enhancing feelings of self-efficacy and hopefulness
  • How mind-body techniques promote physiological changes that help relieve anxiety, depression, and insomnia
  • The power of this model in enhancing both self-acceptance and connectivity with others
